Bayworld Museum and Aquarium

If Dinosaurs, Whales, or Canons are your thing then you should pay a visit to the Port Elizabeth Museum.

Among the items on display is a 15m skeleton of the last harpooned whale in Port Elizabeth. You will also see a life sized reconstructed dinosaur. Take a walk through the snake cages and feel what they feel like. Or just check out the crocodiles, the actual meteorite or the aquarium.

You could easily spend two hours perusing all the interesting articles on display which will take you back in history from the dinosaur era, fashion in the 1800s, photography, koisan culture and loads more.

Make sure you give them a call to ensure they are open as with the current renovations the museum is closed on certain days.
