This self-catering holiday cottage is situated inside the Middlevlei Nature Reserve which lies between Fisherhaven and Hawston, exactly an hour’s drive (100km) from the beautiful city of Cape Town. It is freestanding and thus provides the privacy that many Muslims treasure. It consists of one large main bedroom (en-suite) and another bedroom with 2 separate three-quarter beds and is thus ideal for a family of 4. Both bedrooms are air-conditioned. The large kitchen is fully equipped with lots of bic, 2 fridges, a washing machine, dishwasher, tumble dryer, double basin and a table which comfortably seats 4. Leading off from the kitchen is the family bathroom and a staircase leading to a loft which many use as a Prayer room. The curved lounge has a large TV screen with DSTV on tap as well as its own round diningroom table. Complimentary Wifi is provided. Outdoor amenities include a large swimming pool, tennis courts, a small tuck shop, a club house with table tennis boards, hiking, the Bot River estuary and a stunning beach for tanning and fishing but unfortunately not for swimming because of the strong back currents. For those in possession of a valid skipper’s licence for inland power-boating, a Viking motorboat with a Johnson 115HP outboard motor is available (of course at extra cost).
Outside of the complex one can explore the towns of Kleinmond, Vermont, Onrus, Sandbaai and of course Hermanus itself.
Provided are cutlery & crockery (6 of each), breadbin, frying pan, 2 pots, 2 magnetos, a Weber, back-up basic tennis & table tennis bats and balls, a spare set of bed sheets. You have to bring your own groceries, towels, coal and firelighters.
