In an effort to link the South African national park system to the global national movement to display the best of the South African national park, since 2006 South Africa in conjunction with FNB and Total South Africa have embarked on a project to allow FREE access to all South Africans allowing access to its national parks without any entrance fee.
Sanparks have however mentioned that the following three parks do not offer free access:
- Namaqua National Park
- Boulders Penguin Colony
- Table Mountain Cableway
However you can enjoy a family outing without any entrance fees regardless of the amount of people.
